At Pawn Plus we take pride in doing the repairs to your Jewelry very seriously. We will NOT take shortcuts. When we size your ring up we precisely cut your ring to allow room for the additional metal we are adding.
With great precision we accurately cut the amount of metal needed to give you that perfect fit. Our Jeweler then carefully welds the seams of the sizing joint, with gold solder, to add the metal and maintain the strength and integrity to your ring.
Once the ring is cooled the sizing seams are filed flush, sanded smooth and then the entire ring is highly polished to give it a mirror finish. When the job is complete you won’t be able to see the work and your ring will be the same width and thickness as it started.
Our process is more time consuming and requires more skill but it is the ONLY way to do the job right and maintain the quality of your ring.

Over time the prongs on your ring can become worn down and place you endanger of losing your stone. In addition to wear abuse can often times cause you to completely lose a prong causing even a greater risk of losing a stone.
Both of these issues can be corrected by our highly skilled jeweler. The process will vary depending on the type of stone and metal but the basics are the same. The jeweler will add new metal on top of your existing prongs or completely rebuild a missing prong. The new metal is soldered to the ring, the prongs are shaped and then the entire ring is refinished to look like new.
Our process is what we call doing it the right way. While we add metal and solder that metal many jewelers will just ball up solder on top of a thin prong and call it good. While this may last for a short time the quality is far from what it should be. We go the extra mile and we guarantee our work against stone loss for 12 months as we are that confident in our work.
Example of pricing: simple re-tipping is $25 for the first tip and $15 each additional if you need a full prong it is $35 for the first prong and $20 each additional. We can also do V prongs and bezels along with rebuilding channels. (resetting of stones if required is additional)
Chain Repair: One of the most common repairs we see is repairing a broken chain. Most broken chains can be repaired for ONLY $20. In addition to repairing breaks we can also replace your clasp rebuild many different types of links and even shorten so the chain or bracelet fits just the way you like.
