Michelle McCullough is the Daughter of the owners. Michelle grew up in her Parent’s jewelry store and developed a love for Jewelry so just after graduation from High School Michelle embarked on her career as a Custom Bench Jeweler.
Michelle left her Home town of Macomb and ventured to Franklin TN where she had enrolled in The New Approach School of Jewelry. At the time of her enrollment, she was the youngest student to ever enter this elite school of jewelry training. Over the next 12 weeks, Michelle would develop her skills from Novice to Professional. While 12 weeks seems like a short time the intense training at New Approach is equivalent to what most jewelers receive in a 2-year program. At only 17 days in Michelle had made her first ring entirely from scratch.
Michelle wasn’t satisfied with just being able to do jewelry she decided she wanted to be able to grade diamonds so in October of 2014 she attended an intense diamond grading class taught by the GIA (Gemological Institute of America) the foremost authority of diamond grading in the world. With the completion of this class, she now holds a diamond grading certificate from GIA.
By the end of her training, she had hand build a Platinum ring that became her graduation ring she proudly wears most days..
Since returning from jewelry school Michelle has become the resident jeweler at Pawn Plus. She works daily with customers from all walks of life. She may be simply resizing a ring, repairing a piece of jewelry, even making one to completely restoring that one of a kind cherished heirloom. With Michelle at the bench Pawn Plus is able to offer all of your jewelry repairs in-store and usually is able to have them completed in 2 to 3 days. We are so confident in Michelle’s work Pawn Plus offer a 1-year warranty on any work she performs.
In addition to her doing all of the jewelry she also works all aspect of the retail store and helps customers with their pawn transactions.
